Introduction
Vicki Stone Marketing is committed to meeting the requirements of the UK Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and makes every effort to ensure its communications are accessible to those with special needs, including those with visual, hearing, cognitive and motor impairments.

Vicki Stone Marketing has strived to make this website adhere to Priority 1, 2 and 3 guidelines of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as far as possible.

Access Keys
Most modern browsers support jumping to specific links by typing an 'access key'. On Windows, you do this by pressing ALT + the access key release (then Enter); on Macintosh, you press Control + the access key.

The code used to create the site validates as XHTML 1.0 Transitional or Strict where possible, and the CSS has also been validated to CSS3.0 standards.

Links
Many links have title attributes which describe the link in greater detail, and in the majority of cases the text of the link already fully describes the target.

Some links on the site will open a new browser window (when the link target is on a non-Vicki Stone Marketing site). New windows are never opened without either a warning in the text or in the 'title' attribute of the link.

The text on this website has been styled using a non-fixed value in a style sheet. This means that users can easily change the text size using their browser settings.

Images
Decorative and functional images feature empty ALT attributes. Other images on the site include descriptive ALT attributes.

Colour
Foreground and background colours contrast well throughout the site, with the majority of content appearing black on white. Colour is never used as a sole method of grouping data.

Layout
The site is free of frames and uses a cascading style sheet for visual layout. Tables are used for tabular data, but we have avoided using them to dictate the layout of a page wherever possible.

Javascript
The site uses javascript for both content delivery and navigation and must be enabled in order to use the site. We are currently working on a version of the site that does not require the use of javascript, in order to comply fully with the WCAG Guidelines on accessibility.
